i just finished building crosscode-cli, (getcrosscode.dev) which is a project that i've been working on for the last two weeks.it's a complete game changer for coding with other people.
here's how it works:
it's an agent-agnostic mcp, so, whether you use cursor, claude code, or codex (or if you're weird and use opencode), you're still able to use it and work with other people who may be using the same agent or a different agent as you.
it has a daemon that runs in the background in a resource-efficient manner, and as you and your partners work on different aspects of your project, it syncs to your local folder in real time without you having to pull. it makes working with others a million times easier, and it's free-to-use, MIT-licensed, and open-source.
the whole syncing process runs in the background, and your agent is only notified if a conflict occurs. the great part is that your agent is the one that resolves the conflicts instead of an external API, so the context that your agent already has will help merge your edits in a neutral manner.
i got this idea from yc's quarterly startup request as well as from chats i had with people i met and spoke to during my trip to san francisco. i really appreciate all the support i can get, so, if you want to try this out, feel free to look at the website, the github and npm page, as well as send me any feedback you have about the functionality.
if you're able to share this with others, it would mean a lot, because i'm trying to get as many users as i can. if you can post about this on linkedin, insta, or tiktok, you get the unlimited plan for free for two weeks. reposting this also works. if you're a student or a close friend of mine, just send me a dm and i'll also give you two weeks of unlimited access for free.
$100k mrr, here we come.
